Love can last a moment or a lifetime. But if you want to try and make it last, it's going to require some effort.

2021 update: Wow, I made this like 5 years ago! I no longer stand by the writing in this piece--this was made early into my fiction writing experience, and it shows that I didn't know my butt from my ass, particularly in regards to representation of backgrounds outside my own experience. And just, like, language. I'm leaving it up because we should not hide our old art.

My first foray into writing interactive fiction, experimenting with the format and trying to present a slightly different take on making choices. Shit yeah, approximately 5 minutes of plain text!

I wrote a substantial chunk of this at ChillJam 2016, hosted by GameDevSoc Edinburgh.

Created with Twine 2.0.11 and Harlowe 1.2.2.

The "challenge" idea in this is really inventive and funny... I was glazing over a bit with the story, but the gameplay mechanics feel refreshing, and kind of do work as an expression of anxiety and distraction. I might have to steal the format!

Please steal away! That's roughly how I feel about it years later, too.
